Better weather is finally at our doorsteps and with that, our natural inclination to start fresh. With longer days and more exposure to sunlight, we biologically feel more energized and motivated to take on more during our day, especially after the long and dreary winter we just endured.

As much as you’ll want to dive head first into whatever project you are trying to tackle, starting a major or even minor project without some level of organization is not only a motivation killer but is also inefficient with both your time and your money.

It’s difficult to be truly honest with yourself when getting rid of material objects that you’ve had for a long period of time, especially if there’s an emotional attachment to the items. Try to think logically though. If you haven’t used the item in over a year, get rid of it. If it’s a “just in case” item that is just collecting dust, get rid of it. If you’re holding on to clothes that are ripped and faded and are no longer worn, get rid of it.

We have a few different dumpster sizes that can help you with your project. For most clean-outs, we usually recommend either a 15 yard dumpster or a 20 yard dumpster. Objects really do accumulate over the years and you never realize how much junk you have until you’re getting rid of it. What starts out as just one trash bag of old jeans could end up being an entire bureau of clothes.

Take a look at this list of 10 things to do before starting a clean-out that we published in a previous blog. If you have any questions about what dumpster size to order or how to further organize for a clean-out, please do not hesitate to give us a call. We’ll walk you through the entire process. You can even hire one of our crews to come and handle the heavy lifting for you!
