Trust Quick Disposal for Your Dumpster Needs!

We often get calls for 10 yard dumpsters from homeowners that don’t have a lot of previous experience ordering dumpsters. This is understandable as it’s the least expensive dumpster we have and it’s common to underestimate how much junk you accumulate. However, there are very few cases in which these are sufficient to accommodate your clean out and renovation needs.

Our 10-yard dumpsters only include a 1-ton weight allowance and are only about 2 feet deep. This means that if the dumpster exceeds the 1-ton weight allowance or if the dumpster is filled above the top of the dumpster, extra charges will be incurred or we may not even be able to pick up the dumpster.

Recently, we drove by a home with a dumpster that was filled about four feet over the top of the dumpster. This is a perfect example of a dumpster that we would not be able to pick up. Our drivers tarp every dumpster before hauling it from the jobsite, but even tarped, this overflowing load is very unsafe and is illegal to transport. If this is the case with your dumpster, the driver will be forced to leave excess items at the job site and additional charges may apply.

To help give you an idea of what each dumpster is best used for, we invite you to read our post on Choosing the Best Dumpster for Your Project. If you still have questions, please give us a call and we can walk you through your project to ensure that you are correctly set up.
