Late Fall in New England is still a great time to contend with your home projects and clean outs. It’s easy to procrastinate over the summer– we are busy enjoying ourselves! All good intentions arrive in the fall but before you know it, Winter will arrive so it’s important to make sure to utilize this critical time and to not make the mistake of leaving projects for the cold, dark winter months.
Why You Should NOT Procrastinate!
- Procrastination leads to rushed jobs. The more you procrastinate, the less time you will have to complete your project. With less time there is more likely of a chance you will rush through the job and not be able to work as efficiently and produce your best result.
- Procrastination brings stress. Can we really relax when in the back of our minds we are thinking about the things we need to get done? Lingering thoughts will bring lingering stress into your life.
- The longer you wait, the more your work load will build up. In our line of work, the longer someone hoards what should be getting put into a dumpster, the more the pile builds up. Within the matter of weeks your clean-out job could increase from requiring a 15-yard dumpster to a 25-yard dumpster.
- You may run out of time. As if procrastination isn’t stressful enough in itself, being crunched for time will add to that burden. Less time to get your clean-out completed means less time you could be spending assessing the job at hand. Do not go into your clean-out ill prepared this season.
- The task is not going to go away on its own. Let’s face it. As much as we would like to pretend, your mess is not going to rid itself. That’s what we’re here for.
